This article presents an important analysis of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical and mental health of family farmers in Brazil. The collection of quantitative and qualitative data, with men and women over 18 years of age. and that they work on small properties located within the Brazilian territory, reveals the difficulties faced by this group. The main issues addressed and that deserve to be highlighted were in relation to the contagion of COVID-19, comorbidities that are aggravating factors for the infection of the virus, deaths in the family as a result of the new coronavirus, if they presented symptoms and if anyone had any sequelae. Regarding mental health, the approach was qualitative, asking several questions to understand the degree of change regarding psychological symptoms that were presented after the pandemic period, the most answered being: insomnia, mood swings, feelings of fear or insecurity, and difficulty concentrating. And, in relation to the aspects of life most affected by the pandemic, the main ones were: professional life, financial life, and mental health. Finally, it is concluded that it is necessary to create new programs aimed at promoting the health of family farmers and the dissemination of existing policies such as the National Policy for the Integral Health of Populations of the Countryside, Forest and Water (PNSIPCFA), in addition to psychological support to deal with the impacts resulting from the pandemic. In this context, the article achieved its objectives of collaborating in the understanding of the challenges faced by family farmers during the pandemic and for the formulation of strategies that promote the health and well-being of this group.

O presente artigo apresenta uma análise importante sobre os impactos da pandemia de COVID-19 na saúde física e mental dos agricultores familiares no Brasil. A coleta de dados quantitativos e qualitativos, com homens e mulheres maiores de mais de 18 anos. e que trabalhem em pequenas propriedades situadas dentro do território brasileiro, revela as dificuldades enfrentadas por este grupo. As principais questões abordadas e que merecem destaque foram em relação ao contágio de COVID-19, comorbidades que são fatores agravantes para a infecção do vírus, falecimentos na família em decorrência do novo coronavírus, se apresentaram sintomas e se alguém ficou com alguma sequela. Em relação a saúde mental, a abordagem foi qualitativa fazendo diversas perguntas para entender o grau de alteração a respeito de sintomas psicológicos que apresentados após o período da pandemia, sendo os mais respondidos: insônia, alteração de humor, sensação de medo ou insegurança e dificuldade de concentração. E, em relação aos aspectos da vida mais afetados pela pandemia, os principais foram: vida profissional, financeiro e saúde mental. Por fim, conclui-se que é preciso a criação de novos programas voltados para promover a saúde dos agricultores familiares e a disseminação de políticas já existentes como a Política Nacional de Saúde Integral das Populações do Campo, da Floresta e das Águas (PNSIPCFA), além de suporte psicológico para lidar com os impactos decorrentes da pandemia. Neste contexto, o artigo atingiu seus objetivos de colaborar na compreensão dos desafios enfrentados pelos agricultores familiares durante a pandemia e para a formulação de estratégias que promovam a saúde e o bem-estar deste grupo.

To verify the influence of macrogeometry with healing chambers on the osseointegration of dental implants by analyzing implant stability quotient (ISQ) and evaluate the correlation between insertion torque and ISQ insertion with different macrogeometries. In total, 26 implants were installed in the posterior mandible of eight patients with sufficient bone height for the installation of implants measuring 3.5 mm in diameter and 9.0 mm in length. The implants were categorized according to two types of macrogeometry: a test group (GT) with 13 conical implants with healing chambers and a control group (GC) with 13 conical implants with conventional threads. To insert the implants, a bone drilling protocol was used up to a diameter of 3 mm with the last helical bur. The insertion torque of the implants was evaluated, followed by the measurement of ISQ at 0 (T-0), 7 (T-7), 14 (T-14), 21 (T-21), 28 (T-28), and 42 (T-42) days. The mean insertion torque was 43 Ncm in both groups, without a significant difference. Moreover, no significant difference in the ISQ values was found between the groups at different time points (p > 0.05), except at T-7 (GT = 69.87±1.89 and GC = 66.48±4.49; p = 0.01). Although there was no significant difference, ISQ median values were higher in the GT group than GC group at 28 days (GT = 67.98 and GC = 63.46; p = 0.05) and 42 days (GT = 66.12 and GC = 60.33; p = 0.09). No correlation was found between the insertion torque and ISQ insertion (p > 0.05). Furthermore, implants with a 3.5 mm diameter macrogeometry, with or without healing chambers, inserted with a drilling protocol up to 3 mm in diameter of the last helical bur, led to a similar secondary stability, with no difference in ISQ values. Although, implants with healing chamber demonstrates ascending values in the graph of ISQ, having a trend of faster osseointegration than implants without healing chambers. Both macrogeometries provide a similar primary stability to implants. This study was registered retrospectively in ReBec (brazilian registry of clinical trials) under the number RBR-96n5×69, on the date of 19/06/2023.

O arroz (Oryza sativa L.) é um dos grãos mais consumidos no mundo e conhecido historicamente pelas suas propriedades nutricionais. Essa revisão reúne diversas pesquisas que comprovam as atividades biológicas do arroz, tais quais antioxidante, clareadora, anti-inflamatória, anti-idade, bem como suas possíveis aplicações cosméticas. A pesquisa foi realizada em três bases de dados: Pubmed, Science Direct e Google Scholar, utilizando artigos inéditos nos últimos dez anos. A busca levou em conta aspectos fitoquímicos e a aplicabilidade do uso do vegetal. Grande parte das atividades bioquímicas do arroz devem-se majoritariamente aos compostos polifenólicos. O arroz apresenta grande concentração de polifenóis como antocianinas, flavonoides e ácidos, resultando em propriedades antioxidantes, clareadoras, anti-inflamatórias e anti-idade. Conclui-se que o potencial químico do produto possui essas atividades se torna um possível agente para fabricação de produtos cosméticos.
